Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager, ideally from a manufacturing background to join this International Manufacturing organisation to manage all their IT systems globally to ensure business continuity, security and data integrity. They are innovators creating new products for a Eco-friendly tomorrow. You will advise senior management on the long-term strategic direction for IT consistent with the company’s needs and to manage and report on the performance of all IT and telecommunications projects.
Your role will be far reaching and will include all of the following: Internal stakeholder communication and relationships IT Networking and all Systems Strategic Development IT Projects Team Leadership Financial/Management Reporting
Essential skills required: You will come from a manufacturing background which could be Industrial, Chemical, Auto, Engineering, Wood or Metal Processing to name but a few. Significant IT experience which includes a strong knowledge of desktop applications (Microsoft technologies and implementing SQL databases) and Networking (Lan/Wan Cisco technologies). Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development. Design, implementation, deployment and commissioning a Manufacturing Execution System Understanding of Data Warehousing/ Business Intelligence/ Data Architecture ISA-88 / ISA-95 standards Experience of managing capital projects and budgets Manufacturing and process automation knowledge. Possess good knowledge of different software systems, client/service architectures and various compatibility requirements. Experience of managing suppliers and supplier relationships.
Desirable skills: Experience with Virtualization technologies. Experience of BCP/DR planning, implementation and testing. Experience of Cloud Computing/SaaS GDPR compliance Health and Safety in an industrial environment
